Biography
Robert Boyle is one of the few fully accredited children’s allergy specialists in the United Kingdom. He trained as a Paediatrician at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, then Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, London and the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. He specialised in Paediatric Allergy in Melbourne, where he undertook a PhD investigating strategies for allergy prevention. On his return to London he was awarded the highest mark in the inaugural European Allergy Examination.
Dr Boyle works as a Consultant Paediatric Allergist at St. Mary’s Hospital Paddington, where over 5000 children are seen each year in the allergy clinic. His research at Imperial College London aims to identify the best way to prevent allergy from developing in young children. Dr Boyle is happy to be consulted regarding any children’s allergy issues, including food allergy, eczema, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), asthma, eosinophilic oesophagitis, and allergic reactions to drugs, latex, anaesthetics or insect stings.
