Biography

Mark J Curtis trained at St George's Hospital Medical School, London & qualified MB BS in 1982; he went on to basic surgical training at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester attaining FRCS Ed & Eng in 1986.

 

After a post in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton, he moved onto the Orthopaedic Surgical Training Programme at St George's with posts throughout SW Thames.

 

A research fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore provided the opportunity for biomechanical research, with many peer reviewed papers published. Appointed as Consultant at Kingston Hospital January 1984, and has continued both personal & professional interests in Sports.

 

Completed the Maratona Dles Dolomites cycle race in Italy, 2012, as well as the Upton Upon Severn Triathlon 2012 ( In fact a duathlon as River Severn deemed too dangerous to swim in!).
